A: Yes, the battery pack is included with this light. 

Q: how has this held up over time? 

A: It is durable and holds up well over time. 

Q: Does it have a flood, or spot beam?

A: Its has a spot beam but you can buy a lenses that will change it to a flood. It allows you to see every bump and hole in the road and the soft light lets you see things off to the side of the you.
